Here you’ll see the parks giants like the elephant, the rhino, buffalo and the lion. The rhino population here is almost half of the species population in East Africa, as they roam the grassy plains. On game drive in the Serengeti National Park you’ll come to the Rock Kopjes where there is a big chance to see the cats. Cheetah and lion use the giant rock out crops as observation posts.

On Day 3 of the Tanzania Wildlife Safari Tour still in Serengeti National park, you’ll take the adventure into the sky with the Hot Air Balloon Safari. View the amazing Serengeti National Park from a hot balloon above the park. Champagne, breakfast will be served on the landing site.

On our last day of this epic Tanzania Wildlife Safari Tour, you’ll stop over at Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive.

Great Migration

Serengeti National Park is World Heritage site. It has over 2 million ungulates, 4 000 lions, 1 000 leopard, 550 cheetah and some 500 bird species. It covers an area of 15 000 sq km. Explore the endless Serengeti plains dotted with trees and kopjes from which majestic lions control their kingdom as they gaze upon the Great Migration in awe.

Accommodation in the Serengeti and surrounding areas come in every price range. The good thing is that there is everything for everyone. Campsites are slowly modernized to give the comfort and security so many require once we go on a holiday like safari. Networks and internet are slowly being accessible on most accommodation.

Overview

The magic of Serengeti National Park is not easy to explain. Hearing the buzz of the millions of wildebeest so thick in the air vibrating through your entire body; is something out of this world. Vista of honey-lit plains at sunset so beautiful is all the reason to visit Serengeti. The Maasai people smiling and bouncing way into the sky on their dance is a welcome that will make anybody feel at home.  The presence of thousands of animals of different size, shapes and colors is all unique of Africa and its precious national parks.

 

Itinerary

Pick-up from Arusha airport and head to Lake Manyara National Park arriving in time for lunch. The park is located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley's western escarpment. The park's habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa's largest concentrations of elephants, tree climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos, baboons, vervet monkeys, zebras and wildbeest.

After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park arriving in time for lunch. Later you'll head to the central park area, known as Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitants in the park. This area attracts many leopards and big cats, elephants, hippos, giraffes and many more.

Accommodation: Serengeti Sopa Lodge

After breakfast head for game viewing along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. This loop is good one to view lions, gazelles, tops, ostrich, cheetah, hippo and buffalo. Enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch before heading to the Kopjes Circuit. The Maasai Kopjes usually attracts a number of lions and some formidable large cobras.

Optional: Early morning head out for a balloon flight. View the Serengeti from a hot air balloon followed by champagne breakfast and wine.

Shortly after breakfast at the lodge we depart to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. We stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. Dr Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the Nutcracker and the Handy Man, both very significant links to the chain of human evolution.

We head down to the magnificent crater for a full day game drive just after breakfast. The Ngorongoro Crater is the mostly densely populated African wildlife with an estimate 30 000 animals including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhino. Lookout for wildebeest, zabras, buffalo, giant African elephants and huge population of predators. Enjoy picnic lunch on the crater floor

Today we drive to Tarangire national park. The runs along the Tarangire River has mainly low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. The largest elephant herds are found here, the kudu, the fringed-eared oryx and Ashly starlings.

Tour ends today. After breakfast it's time for your transfer to the airport in time for your flight at Kilimanjaro Airport.

Frequently asked Questions

How fit do I need to be?

No fitness required. All activities are done from our vehicles. If you’ll go on walking safari, the Guides will adjust to your preferred pace.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Most facilities in the national park has charging points and hot showers.

Are there ATMs on the way?

There are ATMs and other services lie the Post Office in Arusha Town. In national parks there wont be any. You may need to carry cash should you want to buy personal items from the market.

What about internet access?

Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. But in general there will be internet access at the lodges.

Is it necessary to hire Guides?

Guides are included in this package.

How much do guides and porters cost?

We will encourage you to tip the guides a minimum of $5 per day. You may not need a porter anyway but the range is $10 – $20 per day
