Tanzania is synonymous for the Great Migration of millions of wildebeest. The season kicks off with the birth of close to half a million calves each year from January to March. Soon after the migration in search of fresh grass and water begins as millions of wildebeest and indeed other mammals migrate. The predators however worst very little energy on hunting as everyday they are surrounded by so much. As they cross the steep river jostling for safety from crocodiles some won’t make it.
Tanzania has the best national parks which can be explored in just over a week. Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks are among the top rated parks for safari in the world. The magic of Tanzania is itself difficult to describe. You ought to come to Tanzania to see for yourself.
The pressure and commotion of the Great Migration may not be a good experience for other people. Understandably yes it maybe the case. but outside the Great Migration the terrain of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro is pretty much charming. The Great Rift Valley brings somewhat calmness over the land as the mountains, hills and kopjes lie side by side.
Animals indeed still rule the plains of Serengeti. There is also rich history of human existence and there ancestors the (Australopithecus) said to have lived here 4 million years ago.
Serengeti is home to several indigenous tribes like the Maasai who have preserved their traditional way of life. The proud Maasai with their broad smile and long-jumps dancing taller than everyone are indeed a significant welcome attraction to travelers.
But beyond the Serengeti and Ngorongoro there is much more Tanzania has to offer. The landscape of The Great Rift Valley is just stunning.
